Please note that we cannot completely reduce the risk of coronavirus. However, the table below describes the cleaning, hand washing, sanitisation, social distancing and appointments management processes that we are using to reduce risk.
Risk reduction measures |
Description |
Cleaning and disinfecting |
1. We are cleaning and sanitising all common spaces regularly, including our bench tops, treatment beds and doorknobs. 2. As soon as people enter the clinic, they are required to use hand sanitiser and/or wash their hands for 20 seconds with soap. 3. Physios are washing hands before seeing each patient, in addition to cleaning all contact surfaces in their rooms with disinfectants. All practitioners will be wearing masks and eye protection for all client services. 4. All Physio on Collins Physiotherapists have completed the Australian Governments’ Department of Health Infection Control Module. |
Distancing from others |
5. Please make use of our telehealth video conferencing service where possible. Please chat to our staff to learn more. 6. When seated in the waiting area, people must sit 1.5 metres away from anyone else. We have marked these distances with appropriate chair spaces. 7. All clients must wear a mask unless they have a medical exemption and to not touch anything unless necessary. 8. We request that only the patient booked for the appointment attend the clinic, unless of course the patient is a minor, in which case an adult may accompany them. 9. Please attend your appointments on time to avoid crossover with others who have attended on time. |
Cancelling appointments when ill |
10. If you have a cold, flu, runny nose, cough or fever, or you believe you may be coming down with a respiratory illness, do not attend your appointment. 11. Please call the clinic to let us know and reschedule your appointment on (03) 9650 1347. |
General advice |
12. If you have had contact with a person with confirmed coronavirus/COVID-19, you must self-isolate for 14 days. This means you cannot attend an appointment until the 14 days of isolation has concluded. 13. If you have had a coronavirus test then you must follow the DHHS advice and stay home until you have negative test result. If you have a positive result, you are required to self-isolate for at least 14 days. Please stay at home and do not go out at all. Get your loved ones, neighbours or friends to leave you food and supplies at your closed front door. 14. If you develop any respiratory symptoms or fever, please call the National Corona Virus help line on 1800 020 080 15. We recommend you download the Covid Safe app and have it active when you leave home to attend your appointment. |
